Ilala Lodge Hotel
The tremendous roar of Victoria Falls can be clearly heard from the comfort of Ilala Lodge, found a mere 8-minute walk away from earth's largest curtain of falling water. This property is very comfortable, provides an excellent sense of service and is also quite popular with local wildlife. It is the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area, the many activities found nearby and of course, Victoria Falls.
Ilala possesses a total of 73 rooms, split between standard and deluxe rooms, suites, and executive suites. All rooms are well furnished with a number of modern amenities, including tea and coffee-making facilities, air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. Standard rooms offer a private patio or private seating area on the lawn, facing the falls, and the deluxe rooms and suites offer spectacular views of the sun rising over the mighty Victoria Falls. Often times animals will come up to the lodge and graze on the lawn, offering guests a unique game experience from the comfort of their room. The hotel restaurant is worth particular mention, with a charming menu of delectable cuisine found at the top-rated Cassia Restaurant and al fresco dining on offer. The property's lounge is a great place to relax and offers free internet access, while an activity centre, which is located nearby reception, provides guests the chance to book some of the amazing activities found in the Victoria Falls area.
