This family adventure is recommended for families with teens and young adults. This is largely because there is an age limit on gorilla tracking of 15 years and older. Adventure, culture, gorillas and big game, it's all packed into this 10 day trip. Start with 3 nights in Jinga on the banks of the River Nile you will stay at Gately on Nile Lodge. This area is rapidly becoming the adrenaline sports capital of East Africa with a huge number of activities available from white water rafting and bungee jumping to quad biking and horse riding.
Then enjoy a scenic flight over to the Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will staying in two different regions of the park, offering differing landscapes. At Mweya Lodge you will have the opportunity to view a wide variety of animals from game drive vehicles as well as a unique boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Wildlife in the park include lion, elephant, cape buffalo, warthog, leopard, hyena, mongoose, waterbuck, Ugandan Kob, hippo and prolific bird life. Whilst staying at Ishasha Wilderness Camp in the Ishasha sector of the park, look out for the tree climbing lions which are unique to this region.
A highlight for the family, next is your gorilla tracking experience staying at Buhoma Lodge in Bwindi National Park. During your Gorilla Tracking, experienced wildlife guides, along with trackers and porters, will accompany you through the ever-green forest. The journey, through dense foliage and up steep climbs, leads you to lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. After finding the gorillas, you will have an opportunity to be within meters of these magnificent apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities.

Catch your overnight flight from Philadelphia International Airport to Entebbe International
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be met by a member of the Mahlatini team who will transfer you by road to your lodge.
Today you will be transferred back to Entebbe Airport for your onward flight via light aircraft to the Mweya sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival you will be met by your private driver/ guide who will transfer you to your lodge.
Today, you will head out to the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Today you will be transferred to your lodge in Bwindi Forest National Park.
Today you will be transferred back to the Kihihi airstrip for your onward flight via light aircraft to Entebbe International Airport. Here you will connect with your onward flight home.
