Beside a private beach on the east coast of Praslin Island, Hotel L'Archipel is a charming boutique hotel with views over the sparkling Cote d'Or bay. Here at this secluded, family-owned hotel, you'll receive a real Seychellois welcome - friendly and informal. It's perfectly located for discovering all that Praslin has to offer, including the Vallee de Mai National Park and and the gorgeous Anse Lazio beach, as well as visits to the laid-back neighbouring island of La Digue.
Most rooms have fabulous views over the bay and are scattered around a natural hillside amphitheatre, amidst swaying palms and delightful gardens of hibiscus and frangipani trees; not surprisingly, the higher up the hillside you are, the more spectacular these views. This is particularly true in the late afternoon and makes the idyllic setting for taking in the fabulous sunset. The hotel welcomes families although there are no specific kids facilities. The activity centre can assist with water sports as well as arrange a variety of excursions. Hotel L'Archipel is also an ideal choice as part of a Seychelles island-hopping holiday.
Spacious cottage-style rooms, all with individual names, are scattered around a natural hillside amphitheatre setting, amidst swaying palms and delightful gardens of hibiscus and frangipani trees. The hotel offers just 32 spacious rooms and suites, decorated in a Creole style and with magnificent views towards the ocean; all have a large verandah - perfect for lazy afternoons. Superior and some of the Deluxe Rooms are set higher up the hillside, while the Senior and Family Suites, as well as the remainder of the Deluxe Rooms, are located closer to the beach. Deluxe Rooms are particularly spacious (60m²) and have a king-size bed, satellite TV and ensuite facilities. Suites vary in size from 65m² to 120m² and have an additional lounge area. From most rooms, as well as the beach, guests can enjoy spectacular sunsets across the bay, perhaps with a refreshing sundowner - the perfect way to end a busy day!
There are two restaurants at Hotel L'Archipel, one of which is beside the beach, both serving excellent cuisine; evening entertainment is provided once a week. There's a lovely infinity-edge swimming pool, as well as a gorgeous beach from where various water sports can be taken, such as snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding. The hotel's activity centre can also arrange excursions to neighbouring islands, including charming La Digue as well as many other unique Seychelles Experiences. In-room massage treatments can be arranged on request. Free Wifi is available throughout the hotel.
Hotel L'Archipel has an active energy-saving policy; with over 200 solar panels, it saves over 28,000 litres of fuel annually and lighting costs have been reduced by 30% with the installation of LED lighting. Due to its steep hillside setting, the hotel is not suitable for the infirm or disabled. Children under 3 are also not accepted at L'Archipel.
Situated on Praslin Island, a 15 minute light aircraft flight from Mahe, then 25 minutes by private car transfer. Alternatively, for those arriving by the Cat Cocos ferry, just 10 minutes by car from Praslin's Baie St Anne jetty.
Excellent for Island-hopping. Free water sports including paddle boarding, canoeing and snorkelling. Boat excursions including diving and fishing (payable locally) can be arranged. In-room massage treatments (on request).

Review of Hotel L'Archipel
Very friendly and helpful staff. I would especially like to mention Martin at reception. He was always there with a smile and great advice to help us plan our days around Praslin. Also an idyllic location and a stunning beach really make it a great hotel to spend some time on the island. The rooms are very spacious and our room in particular was just perfect as it exited straight…
Beautiful hotel. Went to the beach and pool everyday. Our only complaint here was that we weren't notified about the special honeymoon dinner on the last night. We were told that since our package wasn't all inclusive, we would have had to pay extra for it.
