Zambia Safari Highlights

  • Home of the 'Walking Safari'
  • Superb concentrations of wildlife
  • Remote and intimate safaris
  • A wide diversity of activities
  • More than twenty different ethnic groups
  • Natural wonders of the Victoria Falls and Zambezi River
  • Excellent 'off the beaten track' honeymoon destination
  • Beautiful scenery

Zambia's vast national parks are brimming with hundreds of different mammal and bird species and are spread across diverse landscapes of winding waterways, sweeping valleys and oxbow lagoons.

Remote and intimate, the safari camps and lodges in this part of the world don't know the meaning of 'mass tourism' and in essence that's the luxury of visiting - the pure seclusion and privacy.

Zambia's main claim to fame is the famous Victoria Falls. Fly over it, swim in it and, if you're brave enough, lie on the very edge of the Falls and peer into the stomach churning 108m abyss below. Yes, you can really do that!

To further explore one of Africa's greatest rivers, the Zambezi, head to the Lower Zambezi National Park. Canoe or take a boat safari along the river channels and keep an eye out for prowling leopards, swimming elephants and hippos lazily lounging in the water. With some of the most spectacular fresh water sport fishing in the world, expect plentiful Tigerfish and Bream.

To experience Zambia at its most authentic, Walking Safaris are the best way to go and the South Luangwa National Park is the best place for it. Step into the shoes of Stanley and Livingstone as you explore Africa on foot and get closer to nature than ever before - you'll be in the thick of the action, metres away from elephant and lion and the largest concentration of hippos in the world.

Walking safaris were pioneered by Norman Carr back in the 1960's and after you've tried it once it'll fast become the only way to view wildlife. Take it from us, it's addictive.

Always dreamed of a balloon safari in Africa? Soar over the Kafue National Park, Zambia's largest and unexplored national park with vast tracts of virgin bush still untouched.

Zambia is one of our favourite 'off the beaten track' safari honeymoon destinations, offering a truly private and memorable experience.

Zambia is the perfect destination for those with a sense of adventure and a love of nature offering a chance to combine the safari with beach extensions to Mozambique or Lake Malawi.

Holiday to Namibia & Zambia

William MacNaull & Colette Sabourin MacNaull

We did all the things we wanted to do: sunset cruises and dining on the Zambezi, walking safaris, sky beds, and quad biking on the desert. We also had some unique experiences like pushing the Land Rover when it got stuck in the sand with lions snoozing nearby and surviving the relatively open camp at Kapamba. If there was one down side it was the amount of travel and number…

Honeymoon to Mauritius, South Africa & Zambia

This trip was absolutely the most incredible experience my wife and I have EVER done. The recommendations Mahlatini gave us were so perfect for what we wanted in a honeymoon, adventurous and relaxing all in one trip. There wasn't a day that went by where we weren't awed by something new. The trip involved a lot of travel from country to country, but everything went so smoothly and we had…
