With one of the world's best climates, wonderful scenery and diverse habitats, excellent game densities in the national parks, a rich history and some of the most qualified safari guides in Africa - journeys to Zimbabwe have plenty to offer.

Zimbabwe is home to some rare and unusual places, from the granite boulders of the Matobo Hills to the world's largest artificial lake, Lake Kariba and the Victoria Falls Rainforest; the only place on earth where it rains all day, everyday.

The rainforest lies just across from the magnificent Victoria Falls itself - a welcome addition to your bucket list. Full of adventure activities, how does soaring over the 108m drop in helicopter sound? Or would you prefer to tackle the rapids of the mighty Zambezi River?

Travel downstream to best explore the river's lush waterways in the Mana Pools National Park. This water rich National Park boasts a healthy crocodile numbers and one of Africa's largest hippo populations. You can choose to canoe along the Mana Pools channels, which is a wonderfully unique way to view game. Mana Pools is a wildlife paradise with buffalo lining the river banks and elephant casually wading right in front of your canoe.

You'll find hundreds of elephant across Zimbabwe but the herds are especially prominent in Hwange National Park, famous for its massive populations of these gentle giants. With a stunning landscape of Kalahari desert sand, sparse woodland, grassland and granite outcrops, Hwange is home to over 100 mammal species and some of the highest mammal diversity for any national park in the world.

Zimbabwe is not all about the wildlife. Get to know the fascinating history of the country with visits to early rock art sites and the remnants of an ancient civilisation at UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Great Zimbabwe Ruins.

Zimbabwe's diversity can offer a holiday with many elements but if you still want more, our Travel Experts can combine Zimbabwe with the likes of South Africa, Mozambique or Mauritius to create a fun twin-centre holiday, perfect for an alternative honeymoon or family holiday.
